Sideshow’s Obi-Wan legendary scale bust offers a sharpened likeness than that on the premium format— which always struck me as looking…. not particular much like Sir Alec. And gosh, there’s no exclusive for this, a memo must have been missed at Sideshow or something.
Being only their second Star Wars LSB behind Commander Cody, they are putting to test their big torso carving style on a ‘real person’ this time (and not a robot-clone-armored whatever Cody is). I think it works.

Terminator T-700 Premium Format Prototype (auction)
A dark paint application test done on a T-800 PF, for a “stealth Terminator” in Terminator: Salvation.
Commander Cody Legendary Scale Bust Prototype (auction)
A prototype version with a myriad of differences, including a clear Palpatine hologram, higher hand position, and vastly different armor.
Jason Voorhees Premium Format Figure Prototype (auction)
Essentially an abandoned prototype which will never be released.
Psylocke Comiquette Prototype (auction)
My personal favorite, a Psylocke comiquette- a statue that looks good enough to release, but for some reason won’t be, not in this form. This is the only existing painted prototype.
Red Hulk Legendary Scale Bust Prototype (auction)
A Hulk LSB repainted to depict the crimson “Rulk”. It was ultimately decided Rulk looked too different than just a sunburnt version of Hulk, so this remains just that: an abandoned prototype.
All auctions scheduled to end on Aug 09, 2009.

If it looks familiar, it’s because the scene has been approximated before in premium format style. But for fans of the polystone, comes this The Circle is now Complete diorama.

In the Yoda and Clone Trooper premium format, the mighty green one makes his second appearance in PF form. Ever the Rodney Dangerfield of the SW universe, he simply cannot seem to muster an appearance without pairing up with another character, of significance or no (you’ll recall he was last paired with Luke): you’ll get a Clone Trooper to go along with, whether you like it or not!

‘Diplomatic Mission’ Darth Vader diorama ‘Golden Edition’ (auction)
Similar to the production ‘bronze edition’ pieces, this prototype features a lighter wash in the faux paint application.
Giger’s Spell 1 – ‘Golden Edition’ (auction)
Chromed and painted in gold, this one-off is HR Giger meets bling.
Elvis Comback Special Premium Format Prototype (auction)
This prototype of Sideshow’s second Elvis premium format actually features a light-up stage which as you may have guessed, did not survive in production. Quite a cool feature, really.
Hellboy 2 Premium Format Prototype (auction)
The description reveals some interesting developmental backstory (was created before the teaser poster– which bears a dead-ringer pose– was unveiled). The unique draw of this prototype is Hellboy’s glowing Right Hand of Doom.
Thor Legendary Scale Bust Prototype (auction)
A prototype differing in paint, most prominently in the lighter shade of costume.
All auctions scheduled to end on March 22.

“Look at the size of that thing!” No, that’s no moon, but a Gentle Giant lifesize animated Leia ‘Monument’ statue (possibly the longest name for a collectible ever), freshly unboxed by forum member Conquistador.

High resolution pictures direct from the show floor of Comic-Con 2008 featuring the Boba Fett, Stromtroopers and Carbonite Han Solo diorama from Gentle Giant. A great overall composition with the incorporation of the floating element, make this an incredible strong piece. Pretty much everyone loves to see Han suffer.
