Weta related tidbit of the day:

District 9 was shot on digital, mainly on RED prototype cameras. They were shooting on 8GB CF cards which gave them four and half minutes per card. They shot on 40 x 8GB CF cards, and these cards were recycled 2200 times during principal photography.
They produced approximately 120 TB of data over the course of the film.

Not sure if this has been mentioned previously.

WETA comes from the maori word and can be translated back in english as God of Ugly Things.

There Poly certainly aint.

Haha.
They had Lurtz away for a while to be fixed or something. I'm guessing someone climed on him and he fell, because they didn't have the "Please do not climb on Lurtz, we take no responsibility if he bites you" sign up before he went away to be fixed.
