Very cool, Peter! Thanks for sharing some info on the swords...they're definately 'one of a kind' & beautifully designed. They turned out very very cool, hehe

I can shed more light on this since I was intimately involved in the creation of these swords :-)
They are not LOTR or any other film-related swords. They have been created especially for the Weta Cave, and my brief was pretty simple: make a pair of cool swords, to my own design tastes. These are the results. I am especially proud of the machaera (the curvy one), the photos don't do justic to the subtleties of the shapes and how they interact. Definitely have a look at the pictures and descriptions at the Weta site for more details.
If you really really want a special sword made to your own requirements, contact Weta Cave and we will see what can be done!

The one on the left kinda looks like a samurai version of Sting...and the other one looks like Glamdring...but I think its just because of the blue color.

I honestly don't know if that is a LOTR piece-- though it certainly looks like it could be. (I've never really collected prop swords so I'm a little shy on knowledge here)

On your suggestion, it isn't Glamdring from what I can gather. It does have similarities though.

Well, I recognize Glamdring, but what's the other sword? Looks cool.

I no longer regret passing up the ME Glamdring from MR.
