After spending two weeks pursuing some interests of mine in Seattle, I’m back in Los Angeles. You have may noticed the lack of posts in that time period. I’m less infatuated with collectible-dom than I have been in a long time, which is not a good thing to admit particularly if you own two sites related to just that. However, what’s the value in a blog without a little honesty?
Not that this is anything new, as my interest has been waning for some time. This only brought things to a sort of defined bottom-of-the-funnel. I’ve always been selective with what I collect; I know what I like, and I stick to it. Very rarely will you find me ebaying something bought on a whim a week ago, only to finance something else which will see the same treatment- a scenario plain as daylight in the collector world. Only now it’s even more intensified. It seems the bigger the collectibles industry grows, the narrower my interests become, however, certain things still excite me (the url of this page offers some clues as to one of them).
How does one continue a Collectiblog with all that in mind? I guess we’ll find out.
Some bits of business to address:
- I’m still giving away Indy’s loot! Will select and contact a winner shortly, thanks for entering.
- The “Top Talkers” list is fixed- apparently it was configured to reset periodically to deter spammers, but as we’ve not had any problems (yet…) , I found a way to restore the list.
